Why I’m Thankful for the Gift of Writing

It’s the day before Thanksgiving in the U.S., and whether you celebrate the holiday or not, we all have something to be thankful for. Today, I’m going to briefly express my gratitude for “the act of forming letters and words to communicate ideas and thoughts” in this blog post. And because I’m feeling jazzy, I’m going to do so by way of an acronym.

I’m thankful for the gift of w.r.i.t.i.n.g. because it:

W - works as a skill set I can leverage in my personal, academic, and professional career

R - reminds me of the importance of written communication

I - identifies me as a thought leader in the publishing industry

T - teaches others how to share their expertise via non-fiction books

I - ignites my storytelling skills

N - niches down my target audience

G - graces me with the confidence to thoroughly express myself through written word

I’m curious to know why you’re thankful for the gift of w.r.i.t.i.n.g. Feel free to share your responses in the comments. You don’t have to create an acronym like I did, unless you want to. :) Also, if you’d like to see my gift in action and experience my book-writing expertise, then I invite you to download my workbook, Bookfluence: How to Write a Book to Position Yourself as a Leader in Your Industry.

Until the next blog,
